The wood for Albert is fire killed Canadian poplar found in the forrest out my back door in northern Alberta.
Albert is hand carved using a pocket knife.
His gangster style costume is hand stitched using recycled fabric.

My own version of a sea creature,inspired by the mythilcal mermaid with all the color and magic.
She stands 11 1/2 inches tall,with wavy dark hair , and hand painted features.
She is sparkly golds and sea foam blue ,with hand beaded costume movable tail,neck and arms.

The King

One of my favorite pieces . The King is a big beautiful character inspired by Elvis and Kong of course. Fully posable with a hand stitched body and costume .I used recycled fabric , the head is sculpted with polymer clay with bead eyes . Red satin Jacket,with striped polyester slacks, a biltmore hand milled fedora with matching satin liner.His face ,hands and boots are sculpted from polymer clay. The King stands 11" high.

My Happy Place

My Happy Place ,

This sculpture represent the protective cage that will allow only my happiest inner thoughts to prevail within.

The doll is cloaked in a cape and mask of Peacock feathers, and feathers of vibrant blue, truly a frock of happiness.

His under costume is a turquoise blue taffeta poet style shirt, with brown trousers. Contrasting with a brown diamond patterned vest and my favorite happy item, comfy boots of yellow.

Perched merrily swinging carelessly in his gilded cage of happiness.

This art doll is a wooden carving ,my method of carving is by pocket knife.

His hair is alpaca wool for soft bouncy curls. He ha sbeautiful blue glass beds for eyes , and is fuly jointed using wooden beads. Wire ties the body parts together.

The Dragon

This Asian beauty is carved by pocket knife .
The head is carved from plaster and the body is carved from a combination of poplar wood and maple.
He has glass beads for eyes and joints .
This classy fellow is connected wit light weight wire for flexibility.
The costume is hand stitched and tailored without a pattern ,truly one of a kind.
Usually I use recycled fabric but in this case I used fabric I purchased when I was in China.
His sandals are made of leather and cork.
